WAYPOINT
A MUD client for iPhone
MUDs are multiplayer text RPGs: worlds you play by typing, shared with real people online right now. They were built for a keyboard and a big screen. Waypoint is built to make them easy and enjoyable on a phone — so you spend your time playing, not fighting the interface.
Easy to start
- New to MUDs? A short guide helps you choose a world that suits you, then makes your character the way that game expects.
- Any MUD. Pick a game from the list, or type any host and port.
- Saved characters as one tap on the connect screen. Your password is never stored.
Always know where you are
- A map beside the text — the whole world where a game publishes it, and elsewhere a map that draws itself as you walk.
- Go anywhere: search any room, see the route, and let the app walk it for you, one confirmed step at a time.
- Pins and landmarks for two-tap travel, and a record of where you have explored.
Less typing
- Shortcuts: one-tap commands, sent at once or ready for a target.
- Aliases: short words for long commands, with arguments.
- Command history, tappable tips, a tap to put a name in the command box, and menus on items, creatures and players.
Easy to read
- Text sized for your iPhone, adjustable any time, in the game's own colours.
- The text waits for you: scroll back to read and your place is kept, with a marker for what you missed.
- Your whole history, searchable: what was said, where you went, what you were doing.
- Panels for your character, inventory, skills, quests and more, one tap from the game, on Iron Realms games.
Friendly and safe
- Chat as conversations on games that label their chat (Iron Realms), with unread counts — and block, report and an offensive-word filter.
- Your own setup for any game: choose what shows in the header, bars and custom panels, without scripting.
- Private by design: no accounts, no analytics, nothing sent unless you send it. See the Privacy Policy.
